Richard KluttzCaston Guitars

Richard's love for working with wood took a new turn in 2009. He expanded his successful framing business to include building custom acoustic guitars. All of his fine craftsmanship is completely done by hand. His guitars feature carefully cut and planed sides, tops and bottoms, hand-carved necks, custom inlays, and fine finishes. Each one is a one-of-a-kind instrument.

Why the name “Caston Guitars”?

Caston is the name of Richard and Marie's grandson. He was named after Marie’s grandfather, Lee Caston Baucom. The name “Caston” holds much love and affection. Richard is proud to honor their grandson and memorialize Marie’s grandfather by using the distinguished name “Caston” on all of his hand crafted guitars.
